No, tour starts on the main floor in the ballroom, then the parlors and dining areas. After that you tour the second floor, which have the bedrooms. Our tour guide did point out where the stairs down to the kitchen (probably) had been located, and you can look into the (Butler’s?) pantry area.

To be honest, I thought the tour through the Belmont mansion was much better. The knowledge of the tour guide was amazing. He was passionate about history and it was obvious. He had a solid grasp of the family history as well as anecdotal information that provided context. Both are beautiful properties, but if you can only do one, tour the Belmont Mansion!
