An incredible and majestic formation. Simply beautiful at all hours of the day - sunset was really spectacular. Do seek out the tidepools and discover them. We saw huge starfish and many birds. If y…Full review by Kathrine

It’s just a big rock but it is extremely interesting! We saw lots of nesting birds, orange and Red Sea stars and mussels! We went at low tide and were able to get very close to it. It was worth the…Full review by Cheryl S

That’s a difficult one. I can tell you that we parked in the well-signposted car park and walked to the beach. We spent about half an hour walking towards and near Haystack Rock then another half hour or so walking back. To be honest you could spend all day watching the waves and scenery - or just a few minutes depending on how you feel about that. They are actively discouraging visitors to climb the rock, but it looks pretty reachable if the tide were out.

Can you park your car on this beach? Not overnight, just for a few hours during the day. We don’t want to drive around it. Just want somewhere warm to enjoy the view.
A:
There were not any parking lots. But, a lot of people park along the side of the roads without problems. Very few now parking signs.
Q:
What time is low tide at Haystack Rock?
A:
Tides change every day. When we were there in June, it was 5:30 am. Tide tables are accessible on the internet. Do a "google".
