At the beginning of August, we'll be driving between Glacier and Mt Rainier for two days. During this short time we would like to visit the Kootenai falls and The Palouse but only one of the area wildlife refuges. So, should it be Kootenai or Turnbull? Where do we have more chances for wildlife encounters and diversity in this season? where are the chances of meeting Bluebirds bigger? Thank you!

I have to say this was my first visit to this area to purchase land because we will be moving out there. I took a two hour drive up a road named Katka into the state forest and saw all kinds of birds, deer, even a bear. The ride up is beautiful and I found a few rushing rivers that I stopped at and enjoyed some refreshing water. Not being an expert in that area, I had the most nature encounters on this ride. I was up in the forest for four hours. Amazing.
