Hi there. Apologies for getting back to you so late. Old Lyon is mostly stone buildings and narrow streets. It got warm in April especially in the afternoon when we were there so I think that in the summer heat, it would get quite hot. There are however shaded areas (restaurants, plazas, tress) where you can take a break from the hot sun. Because you are in between 2 rivers and a mountain, I felt that there was a constant mild breeze.
