Ukmergė is a city in Vilnius County, Lithuania, located 78 km northwest of Vilnius. It is the administrative center of the Ukmergė District Municipality. Ukmergė was mentioned for the first time as a settlement in 1333. The Ukmergė Old Town contains structure of old streets and squares, also well-preserved buildings of the 19th-20th centuries, therefore it was included in the Registry of Cultural Property of Lithuania.
