Hi, can anybody tell if it is possible to have a half day city tour (8am-11am) in Bangkok (Grand Palace, Wat Arun,Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Pak Khlong Talat) and Saphram Elephant Ground & Zoo in the afternoon (1pm-5pm)?

Sorry, you can not, if you wish to do sight seeing properly. Bangkok traffic would not allow you to complete it. You need atleast 3 hrs. for Grand Palace, another 3 hrs. for Wat Arun,Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Pak Khlong Talat etc. We had all the above between 9 am.- 5 pm. And minimum 1.30 hrs required for zoo + to & fro travelling tome from your place... Better split into two separate visits... If you want to enjoy, be relaxed.... Hope my answer satisfies you.
