Beautiful area. Went on a foggy winter day and highly recommend. Watch out for deep snow, stay on the trail (I went off, and holy moly the snow was deep).Full review by TimCampbellSMS

8 km easy to moderate trail. Has picnic areas and tables. Fairly scenic, though paid parking. When we went in October, it was not too busy.Full review by HikingIsFun74

Swimming in Island Lake is not recommended. The lake is shallow and there are numerous geese and other birds that live on the shoreline. Only humans use the public toilets...
