It is a nice hike, beautiful scenery. Not for beginners or those with small children (no way to bring a stroller). The lack of any bathroom facilities is kind of surprising, but as long as you've r…Full review by deborahcH3492LX

I recently visited this site and checked with the DNC website before visiting. I found the policy that stated, 'leashed pets' were welcomed. I would recommend double checking to make sure their policy has not changed. I brought my 35lb lab and it was doable. I will say it was a fairly difficult trail and can be challenging for a human or pet that is not very fit. Be sure to bring plenty of water for your 4 legged friend. Have fun!

hi, do we need to climb over the rocks or walk through some wet area/rocks during the trail? as we have 2 kids, one is 1.5 yrs and one is almost 4yrs, we will carry the 1.5yrs old one, but not sure if the trail is too tough for an almost 4 years old kid to walk? and is it possible for us to walk with baby in carrier? By the way, late May will it be a good time to see the waterfalls there? (because in some months, may be no water for the falls). Thanks.

Hi! There are a few rocks to climb over, but nothing unusual and I saw a number of people with babies in carriers. My only suggestion is to go after it's been relatively dry -- we went the day after a pretty hard rain and there were some muddy areas. Our almost 5-year-old had no issues with the trail but did slip a couple of times because things were still kind of wet. The waterfalls are very small but there have always been a few features to see on the occasions we've gone. I think late May would be a great time to visit. Have fun!
