Thinking of visiting with my daughter (8) , I can’t seem to find any info on toilets or cafe amenities?
A:
There is a cafe with toilets right next door to the lighthouse

Are children aged 2 and 3 not allowed up the light house even if helped by parents?
A:
Hi Children have to be over a certain height and 2 or 3 year olds are definately to small for safety reasons. The stairs are very steep and narrow and the sides are not secure for little ones.

No :( not the actual lighthouse.

No it doesn't any size car will be able to fit in to the car park. Evan a car with a roof box on top of it.

I am spending 4 days in Weymouth in July and was wondering if there is bus transportation to and from the Lighthouse from my hotel called the Cumberland. I would like to bus to the Isle of Portland and do some walking around and then bus back to my hotel - is this feasible? Thank you in advance.

Judy, There are certainly buses across from Weymouth to Portland. Route 501 runs on a regular basis from the promenade - Kings Statue out to the lighthouse - see link …
