Costco stores will be closed in observance of the federal holiday in 2025. A Costco spokesperson directed TODAY.com to the store's holiday closure page on its website, where it's noted that Memorial Day is one of several holidays in which U.S. warehouses are closed.

Memorial Day weekend is one of the biggest holidays for backyard barbecues, road trips, and beach outings. For many of us, it’s also a time to stock up on summer essentials, as so many retailers host Memorial Day sales and offer discounts to celebrate the day.

Those who can't make it to Costco will find other stores open on Memorial Day, including Sam's Club (with adjusted hours), Aldi (with adjusted hours), Walgreen's, Lowe's, Kroger, Target, Home Depot and CVS, according to Hville Blast.

Costco will be closed on May 26 due to the Memorial Day holiday. It will reopen the next day on Tuesday, May 27. So if you need to buy those hot dogs, burger buns, paper plates and corn-on-the-cob for your barbecue, either plan to shop at Costco before May 26 or plan to shop at an alternative store.

On a typical day, the big box store opens between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. (depending on location) and closes around 8:30 pm on weekdays. On Saturday, many Costcos open at 9:30 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. Sundays hours are usually 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. It's recommended that you check with your local store first to be sure they keep these hours.
