Euro 2025 kicked off on July 2, with 16 women's teams having the chance to get their hands on the iconic trophy in the final on July 27. England are the defending champions, while world champions Spain are looking to claim their first Euros title.
Denmark narrowly missed a great opportunity to take the lead in the eighth minute, Janni Thomsen volleying over Pernille Harder's cross from the right. They were quickly made to rue that missed chance as Poland scored their first-ever Women’s EURO finals goal at the other end to take a 13th-minute lead.
Poland avoided finishing bottom of Group C by beating Denmark 3-2 on matchday three, rounding off their maiden UEFA Women’s European Championship in perfect fashion.
