The BJP has recorded a decisive victory in the Delhi Assembly election, giving rise to several contenders for the Chief Minister position.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is poised to form the government in Delhi after 27 years as the party secured over two-third majority in assembly polls, ending over 10 years rule of Aam Aadmi Party.The last BJP government in Delhi was from 1993 to 1998.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won or is leading in 47 seats in the 70-member legislative assembly, while the incumbent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is ahead in 23 seats, according to data from the Election Commission of India (EC).
