The Boston Celtics fended off the Portland Trail Blazers at TD Garden on Wednesday, largely thanks to standout performances from Payton Pritchard and Derrick White. The tandem of guards combined to make some incredible franchise history in the win.

Pritchard and White combined for 84 points, becoming the first Celtics teammates to reach the 40-point mark in the same game, and the first duo in NBA history to connect on at least nine 3-pointers.

Derrick White has proven his worth time and time again to the Celtics organization, and Pritchard has put himself as the leader of the pack in the Sixth Man Of the Year award race. Having complementary players like the two guards only makes Boston a bigger threat as they playoffs inch closer.
