The U.S. government raised concerns the county is encouraging migrants to come to the United States and illegally harboring them.

Pima County on Migrant Expenses

Pima County says the feds owe it about $10.3 million in reimbursement for services the provided migrants before it closed its two Tucson shelters in January.

According to the criminal complaint, the District 6 officer used a police database to provide information to a convicted felon, helping the felon conceal the true identity of stolen vehicles and admitted to offering to sell guns to the felon.

The officer, Juwon J. Madlock, resigned this week. In 2021, he was put on the county's "Brady list" of officers with credibily concerns.
