On Tuesday, Netflix announced that it will be concluding its beloved coming-of-age series Heartstopper with a feature film adaptation in lieu of a fourth season. While a title was not revealed, the project is based on author and creator Alice Oseman’s forthcoming sixth and final graphic novel installment and is set to begin production this summer.

Netflix has greenlighted a Heartstopper movie, starring & exec produced by the series' leads Joe Locke & Kit Connor and directed by Wash Westmoreland.

Netflix has not renewed Heartstopper for season 4. Instead, the streamer has revealed the series will come to an end with a movie. On April 22, 2025, Netflix announced that Heartstopper will conclude with a feature film, bringing Nick and Charlie's story to a close. News arrived on the third anniversary of the launch of season one.
