Authorities are investigating the tragic death of a nine-year-old child at Hersheypark in Pennsylvania. Witnesses say the child was pulled from the wave pool in the water park section of the complex.
Hersheypark formally opened on Memorial Day, May 30, 1906 along the banks of Spring Creek. It was the perfect spot for picnicking, boating, and canoeing. In 1971, the park started a five-year conversion from a regional amusement park to one of America's most popular theme parks.
