A large fire broke out at a Hindu religious festival, the Maha Kumbh Mela, in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, but the blaze was quickly brought under control and no injuries were reported,

The fire broke out in the Udasin camp in Sector 19 of the Mahakumbh Nagar in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj. Four fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the blaze.

A fire at Maha Kumbh Mela, caused by an LPG cylinder explosion, engulfed 18 tents in Prayagraj's Sector 19. Panic ensued but no casualties were reported, with the blaze controlled within an hour. Authorities are reviewing the incident to prevent future occurrences.

Local officials of the administration along with police and fire department officials have started efforts to control the fire.
