The Orioles went back and forth with the Yankees before pulling out a 5-3 win in the Bronx to open the series Friday night.

Not even a visit from last-place Baltimore could get the Yankees going. Baltimore tied the game against Max Fried in the sixth and went ahead for good in the eighth with a pair of runs off Luke Weaver, as the Yankees lost for the seventh time in eight games, 5-3, in The Bronx.

Reliever Luke Weaver's return to the Yankees bullpen was not an auspicious one, surrendering the go-ahead HR to Baltimore's Ramon Urias in a 5-3 loss. He termed it "devastating" saying he felt good physically but will have to bounce back from a tough loss.
