South of Interstate 75 in far eastern Hillsborough County, the rain fell. And it fell. And it fell. From about 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, showers and thunderstorms dumped 9 inches of rain over a pocket of Plant City.

Some flooding may have crept close to streets in Historic Ellicott City over the last few days, but it was nothing compared to the devastation Main Street has had in the past.
