A fast-growing wildfire has burned thousands of acres on the Navajo Nation, and officials are warning some residents to evacuate.Parts of Oak Springs and Hunters Point are in “GO” status as of 8:30 p.

The Oak Ridge Fire, burning on the Navajo Nation near the Arizona-New Mexico state line, has grown to an estimated 1,800 acres Sunday afternoon.

The wildfire, believed to have been sparked by wood haulers, remained at 0% containment June 29, 2025, as firefighters worked to extinguish it.
