Alabama football has added depth to its tight end room through the NCAA transfer portal with a pickup from a Power Four program.

Alabama football picked up some good news in the transfer portal, landing a talented former West Virginia tight end. The Crimson Tide are coming off an uneven first season under head coach Kalen DeBoer.

A former three-star recruit out of Anderson High School in Cincinnati, Sammarco earned All-State honors after recording 315 yards and five touchdowns on 27 catches in high school. His combination of size, blocking ability, and potential as a pass-catcher makes him a strong fit for Alabama’s offensive system.
