Aston Martin claims its new Vanquish Volante is the fastest and most powerful front-engined convertible on the planet. With 824 hp, a 0-62 mph time of 3.4 seconds, and a 214 mph top speed, it will smoke even AMG’s most exclusive speedster—the PureSpeed.

While Aston hasn’t released pricing information, company insiders suggest the Volante will be “in the region of $470,000” — that representing a supplement of around $40,000 over the coupe. Which, by the standards of option pricing in this rarefied part of the market, qualifies as a good deal.

The Vanquish gains a convertible sibling called the Volante for 2026, and its fabric soft top can retract in just 14 seconds at speeds up to 31 mph. Aston reports that the extra structural bracing it added to improve the topless body’s rigidity plus the weight of the roof’s power mechanism have added a little over 200 pounds.
