Mike Gundy is a fan of Bedlam in April, and he’s not talking about softball. The Oklahoma State football coach pitched the idea that the Cowboys should pair up with OU for a spring scrimmage rather than the fan showcase type of events that programs are moving toward in spring.

The in-state foes met 118 times from 1904 until 2023 but paused the rivalry after Oklahoma left the Big 12 to play in the SEC last season.

With programs all over the country cancelling their spring games in favor alternative options, Mike Gundy wants to get creative with Oklahoma State’s spring game. He wants to bring back the Oklahoma -Oklahoma State rivalry in the form of a spring game with a NIL-centric twist.
