While several stars have played Disney’s animated characters in live action, only a few have had the honor of being crowned a Disney princess. Elle Fanning’s Aurora was the first of the Disney princesses to get the live-action treatment in 2014’s Maleficent.

Disney's Snow White has debuted with a dismal 47% on Rotten Tomatoes, setting the record for the lowest-rated Disney princess live-action movie.

In the new story, written by Erin Cressida Wilson and directed by Marc Webb, we are introduced to Snow White as a girl (Emilia Faucher). She’s a princess in a royal family that we’re told is magnanimous, more concerned with being fair to the people of the kingdom than “fair” in the sense of beauty, the obsession of the Evil Queen.
