Continue the electrophoresis for another 10 min ... for reanalysis of the pH gradient with the pH meter and subsequent IEF-PAGE, SDS-PAGE or RP-HPLC to monitor protein fractionation.
12| Attach electrode wire, put safety shields in place and apply the current. The total time between the end of IEF and the beginning of SDS electrophoresis should ideally be just a few minutes.
