There are hopes Alexander Isak could be fit to feature against West Ham after the forward was pictured being put through his paces in Newcastle training on Wednesday. Isak missed Newcastle’s Premier League defeat at Liverpool due to a groin problem but returned to Eddie Howe’s starting XI at Brighton on Sunday.

Liverpool will have been buoyed by news coming out of St. James' Park in recent days with Anthony Gordon and Lewis Hall both set to miss the Carabao Cup Final clash at Wembley later this month. And there has been another huge concern for the Magpies to deal with in the build-up.
