MLS Cup — Major League Soccer's championship game — pits the winner of the Eastern Conference against the winner of the Western Conference, with the victor receiving the Philip F. Anschutz trophy.

The Leagues Cup will feature 18 MLS clubs and 18 LIGA MX teams competing in the tournament from July 29 to Aug. 31. The top nine teams in each MLS Conference from the prior season qualify.

MLS has announced its North American cup competition participation for 2025 and 2026, with an increase in teams featuring in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and a decrease in Leagues Cup participation.
