Matthew Tkachuk returned to the Florida Panthers' lineup and helped his team to a 6-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 1 of their first-round series.

After not playing for the Panthers since Feb. 8, Tkachuk had two goals and an assist in a 6-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning to open their first-round series.

In recent days, Tkachuk has been skating on his customary line with the Panthers at their practice facility. He’s also been part of the Panthers’ top power play. These are fairly good indications that he’ll suit up in Game 1. Creating even more optimism, Tkachuk took part in the morning skate on Tuesday at Amalie Arena.
