The 2025 schedule officially begins for all of NASCAR's national series with Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway. The signature event is the 67th Daytona 500, which will begin at 2:30 p.m. ET on Feb.

Today’s driver and car: Danica Patrick began her first full-time Cup Series season up front after winning the pole for the 2013 Daytona 500 in her No. 10 Chevy. She led twice for five laps around the middle of that year's 500 and finished eighth, her best result in seven Daytona 500 starts.

Anticipation for the Daytona 500 and the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season is rising, but fans will have to wait another week. NASCAR is not racing this weekend to avoid conflict with Super Bowl 59, when the Kansas City Chiefs battle the Philadelphia Eagles.
