The YouTube star PewDiePie and the Indian music label T-Series quietly settled a months-long court fight as the pair duked it out to become the YouTube channel with the most subscribers.
Bollywood music label T-Series had the most-subscribed YouTube channel for years after Felix Kjellberg, aka PewDiePie, conceded his protracted and problematic fight for the top spot to it.
T-Series, which hosts Indian music videos and movie trailers, overtook PewDiePie in 2019 to become the world’s most popular channel on YouTube, ending a six year reign for the Swedish YouTube star.
Felix Kjellberg, the Swedish vlogger known as PewDiePie has also come under scrutiny with respect to the Christchurch shooting. The row between T-Series and PewDiePie was not without its consequences.
