A leak from a propane pipeline at the Flint Hills refinery in Rosemount led to local evacuations and road closures in the area on Wednesday, though the situation now appears to be under control. Governor Tim Walz said that he has been briefed on the situation at Flint Hills Resources Pine Bend Refinery, located at 12555 Clark Road in Rosemount.

UPDATE 3/20/25: A section of Highway 52 is back open Thursday morning after a propane line leak caused two families to evacuate their homes. The road was reopened to traffic shortly after midnight Thursday, about three hours after crews were able to find the leak near Flint Hills Resources.
