In a historic ruling, the OSSAA has approved to implement shot clocks for all classifications beginning in the 2026-27 season on Wednesday.

OKLAHOMA CITY — A 35-second shot clock for state high school basketball in classes 6A through 3A was approved Wednesday by the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association board of directors. The vote to approve was 11-3 and the change will take effect in the 2026-27 season.
