BOSTON — Red Sox starter Brayan Bello showed his athleticism while covering first base during the first inning Tuesday. He stretched out fully and kept his foot on the bag to complete a 3-6-1 double play and escape a bases-loaded jam. He fell to the dirt once the play was completed.

Bello had to work out of trouble but held a red-hot Mariners offense to one run on four hits in five innings in his season debut.

Brayan Bello was absent from the Boston Red Sox's starting rotation for the first few weeks of the season, but the young righty will finally take the mound Tuesday night against the Seattle Mariners.
