Just a few weeks after its 19 th anniversary, game developer Bethesda announced that 2006’s Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has not only been remastered, but it’s already available to purchase and play. Oblivion takes place in the fictional province of Cyrodiil and the story focuses on the player’s character as they try to thwart the Mythic Dawn cult that plans to open portal gates to a demonic realm known as Oblivion.

The worst-kept secret of the year, Bethesda’s current-gen remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, finally shadow-dropped yesterday and the Xbox-360-era open-world RPG has wasted no time in reminding fans why it was such a hit nearly two decades ago.
