Just days after the Washington Commanders eliminated the Lions in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, Detroit's ex-offensive coordinator Ben Johnson was off to his new head coaching job in the Windy City, where he arrived to a standing ovation and probably more excitement than the Chicago Bears' headquarters has seen in years.

The Chicago Bears hired Ben Johnson as their new head coach, and the former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator is already busy building his staff. There have been several reports indicating the Bears are zeroing in on Dennis Allen as defensive coordinator and are eyeing Darren Rizzi for special teams coordinator (follow along with our rumors tracker).

The Bears offer a chance to work with quarterback Caleb Williams, who had a promising rookie season after being picked No. 1 overall. In a late-season press conference before a game against the Bears, Johnson praised Williams’ arm talent and creativity as a quarterback.
