The Seahawks are attempting to improve from last year's 10-7 season that resulted in them missing the postseason. They were good, not good enough. GM John Schneider and Macdonald responded accordingly this offseason, having made sweeping changes to the offense that include a new starting quarterback and offensive coordinator.

Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald offered strong support of Sam Darnold after the quarterback struggled some during the first OTA that was open to the media.

Mike Macdonald immediately squashed. During an appearance on Brock and Salk, Macdonald quickly and emphatically voiced his support of Darnold as Seattle's starting quarterback. Macdonald is a remarkably consistent man when it comes to speaking with the media.
