A man visiting Florida on his honeymoon died Saturday after being hit by lightning in New Smyrna Beach.

A 29-year-old Colorado man died after being struck by lightning at New Smyrna Beach, Florida. He was hospitalized in critical condition and has since died of his injuries. He and his wife were visiting Florida to celebrate their marriage,

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – A 29-year-old man who was struck by lightning on a Volusia County beach and later died was on his honeymoon when the tragedy occurred, officials said. The lightning strike happened Friday on New Smyrna Beach near the 27th Avenue approach.
