Pima County could be on hook for more than $10 million after feds pause grants
TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Pima County could be out millions after the federal government paused some grants for housing migrants. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security on Tuesday sent a letter to Pima County. In that letter, DHS said it is “temporarily withholding payments” for three grants.

The Department of Homeland Security sent Pima County a letter saying it is temporarily withholding more than $52 million the county received from the Shelter and Services Program or SSP. The letter also says DHS will review this case and that Pima County must provide documentation.
