Polestar's Jokkmokk testing facility in Lapland, Sweden, really does lie within the geographic line just above 66º N, surrounded by soft pastel-colored homes... and lake-sized sheets of ice. Now, the Gothenburg-based company is paying homage to its harshest benchmark with the Arctic Circle lineup.

Polestar has introduced Arctic Circle editions of the 2, 3, and 4 models. The EVs ride on lifted suspensions with Ohlins dampers, and studded tires. All three models were designed as one-offs, with no plans for production.

Polestar has revealed a collection of high-performance cars building on the rallying formula established in 2022 with the Polestar 2 Arctic Circle. Joining the Polestar 2 are the Polestar 3 and 4, creating a complete line up of rally-inspired one-off Arctic Circle cars.

The result was the Polestar 2 Arctic Circle, a one-of-a-kind concept inspired by the performance and capabilities of winter rally cars. The popularity of the original concept persuaded Polestar to dream up similar concepts based on the newer 3 midsize SUV and 4 compact crossover,

There’s much more to Sweden than Ikea, fika, and those neat-looking “moose ahead” signs. The country has given us some of the greatest rally drivers, and it’s this part of Swedish heritage that Polestar focused on when it turned the 3 and the 4 into ice-crushing off-road racers bundled under the Arctic Circle label.
