Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker gave a simple reply when asked if top prospect Drake Baldwin is ready to replace injured starting catcher Sean Murphy.

Sean Murphy is primed for a bounce-back season entering Spring Training. With Travis d’Arnaud departing in free agency, Murphy is set to take on a larger role as Atlanta’s primary catcher.

The Braves said the timetable is four to six weeks for Murphy’s return. A year ago, Murphy strained his oblique on Opening Day and missed two months. D’Arnaud stepped back into the primary role with Tromp as his backup while Murphy was out. Baldwin was in Double A at the time.
