Women's tennis star and 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu spoke openly about an incident at last month's Dubai Tennis Championships, when she had to stop playing after discovering a man who had been stalking her was in the crowd. Raducanu will return to competition at Indian Wells, where she will have enhanced security for her personal safety.

Emma Raducanu said she "couldn't see the ball through tears" and could "barely breathe" after being targeted by a stalker during a match in Dubai last month.

Raducanu, the 2021 US Open champion who has slipped to 55 in the world rankings due to form and fitness issues, will play Japan’s Moyuka Uchijima in the first round of Indian Wells with a win ensuring a match against third seed Coco Gauff.
