Indianapolis has spent the days since Saturday’s preseason finale making hard decisions, whittling the roster down from 90 players to 53 in a marathon cut that takes a toll on everybody involved, and now the Colts must make enough cuts to get the roster down to 53 players by 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The Colts only carrying three running backs as of now: Jonathan Taylor, D.J. Giddens, and Tyler Goodson, as neither veteran Khalil Herbert nor undrafted rookie Ulysses Bentley IV made it as the 4th running back.

It's never easy for teams to let go of talent, especially players who looked good during training camp and the preseason. Notable names the Colts had to part ways with include tight end Jelani Woods, cornerback Chris Lammons and JuJu Brents, and defensive edge Isaiah Land.
