Europe has a new hot travel destination — and it’s not Spain, Italy or Greece. Croatia has officially been crowned Europe’s No. 1 travel destination after a public vote from over one million travelers worldwide.
Data shows that, in the past three years, tourism prices in Croatia have risen about 50 per cent, while other Mediterranean countries have seen increases of about 15 to 20 per cent. It has prompted Prime Minister Andrej Plenković to warn that keeping prices competitive is key to protecting the country’s tourism industry.
