TCU falls to Kansas amid 2nd-half struggles

KU’s Hunter Dickinson and TCU’s Trazarien White went for a rebound off a Rylan Griffen 3-point miss with KU up 47-46 in the second half. Both players refused to release the ball in an epic battle for possession, the players stumbling toward the TCU student section. A technical foul was called on both Dickinson and White.
TCU couldn’t hold onto its halftime lead as it fell to Kansas by double-digits, 74-61. The Jayhawks’ strong defense prevented TCU from climbing back on top, forcing the Horned Frogs to go the final 3:30 of the game without a field goal.
Freshman Flory Bidunga posted his first career double-double in Kansas basketball's 74-61 win over TCU, finishing with 10 points, 10 rebounds, four blocks, and a steal. Bidunga’s performance was especially crucial as the Jayhawks battled back from a 14-point deficit in the first half.
He was referring to injured senior forward KJ Adams who dislocated his shoulder in Wednesday’s loss at Iowa State. Adams missed Saturday’s game versus K-State and is expected to miss his second straight game Wednesday at TCU. KU coach Bill Self has said Adams’ status will be a “week-to-week” decision.
The most frustrating thing about this defeat for K-State is that the Wildcats played well enough to win for much of the afternoon. But they fell behind 14-0 in the opening moments and were unable to cut the deficit closer than six the rest of the way.
