Karl-Anthony Towns missed his second straight game because of a sprained right thumb, sitting out against his former team when the New York Knicks hosted Minnesota on Friday night.

One of the seven games scheduled for Saturday night is the Memphis Grizzlies vs Minnesota Timberwolves matchup.

The good news is Towns, who injured the thumb in Monday’s loss to the Pistons, is planning to play through the chip and is considered day-to-day.

After three games were postponed on Saturday, one of the four remaining games on the NBA schedule is the Memphis Grizzlies vs Minnesota Timberwolves matchup.

Pairing Robinson with former Defensive Player of the Year big man Jaren Jackson Jr. could give Memphis a lethal frontcourt duo. The Grizzlies also have former Defensive Player of the Year guard Marcus Smart in the backcourt to help along the perimeter.

The Minnesota Timberwolves will be without guard Donte DiVincenzo indefinitely, the team announced today. DiVincenzo suffered a “left great toe” injury at the end of the Wolves’ 116-115 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Jan. 15. Per the team, DiVincenzo has a “Grade 3 left great toe sprain” and will be out indefinitely.
