The Northern Territory chief minister and police commissioner say they may call for federal support to address what they describe as "serious, heinous, and escalating violence" in Alice Springs.

It will be a dedicated, purpose-built facility that attracts heritage and military history enthusiasts, veterans, school groups, and general tourists — bringing more people to Alice Springs.
