Officials are still investigating what caused a small commuter plane to crash out of the sky over Alaska last week, killing all 10 people aboard — but Joel Natwick, a longtime pilot in the state, thinks ice could be to blame.

The Cessna Caravan was flying from Unalakleet to Nome when it went down on Thursday. The crash victims ranged in age from 30 to 58, and were from Anchorage, Eagle River, Nome, Unalakleet and Wasilla.

The Coast Guard said three people were found dead inside of the plane, and it's clear from the wreckage there were no survivors.
