The Trump administration and Cabinet members remain entangled in a saga entrenched in controversy over files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which is likely to be a focus of this week’s Sunday shows.
All seven of the current correspondents at “60 Minutes” — Lesley Stahl, Scott Pelley, Bill Whitaker, Anderson Cooper, Sharyn Alfonsi, Jon Wertheim and Cecilia Vega — signed a letter in May urging Paramount to officially make Simon the show’s executive producer, according to the Status newsletter.
Jon Stewart, Seth Meyers, Jimmy Fallon and John Oliver -- and other famous faces -- joined in with "The Late Show" bit.
Congress had until the end of day on Friday to pass the rescissions request, or the funding would have had to be spent as originally intended.
