Gakpo missed the midweek PSG game with a minor injury after feeling pain when he blocked a shot during training.

Cody Gakpo has missed out on Liverpool ’s clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night due to a knock in training. The Dutch forward travelled with the squad for the first leg of the Champions League last 16 tie, but has not even made it onto the substitutes’ bench.

The Liverpool manager made three changes for the game against Southampton, with the Paris Saint-Germain match an obvious factor in his thinking as Andy Robertson and Alexis Mac Allister dropped to the bench.
