British Christian leaders, including Cardinal Vincent Nichols, marked the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea as a “breath of hope” for the Church.

The first Council of Constantinople would produce what would come to be known as the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed, and was a revision of the original creed from the Council of Nicaea.
